FHECOR has been appointed to undertake the Independent Checking Engineering of the bridges included in the Cebu - Cordova Link Expressway in Philippines, to be built by the joint venture leaded by ACCIONA Infraestructuras.

The design will be performed by SENER and CFC, and it includes a cable stayed bridge with a main span of 390m with single towers placed in the centerline of the bridge and a concrete deck with a total width of almost 27m.

One of the main challenges for the design of the bridge is the heavy wind forces produced by the typhoons which are relatively frequent in the region together with the existence of significant seismic actions.
