Environmental integration in structural design

FHECOR Ingenieros Consultores S.A. is committed to the environment and the sustainable development of its activities, as evidenced by the environmental commitments assumed through its Policy and Objectives and the Environmental Management System, certified since 2011, in accordance with the ISO 14001 standard.

The organization does not cause impacts of high relevance in the development of its activity. However, FHECOR is aware of the link and repercussion of its projects in nature.

That is the reason why one of the main objectives of the company, in each of the works developed, is the incorporation of the environmental variable in its designs in order to minimize the environmental impacts derived from them.

Health and Safety

FHECOR Ingenieros Consultores considers Health and Safety at work as a key factor for the development of its activity.

For this reason, an Occupational Health and Safety Management System is maintained certified based on the ISO 45001:2018 standard, with the aim of going beyond legal requirements.

This system establishes the necessary measures for a suitable Occupational Health and Safety Management by defining the organizational chart, the functions and responsibilities, besides establishing the processes and practices necessary to achieve the improvement objectives established.

Pacto Mundial

After FHECOR's participation in the Training Programme: Sustainable Suppliers 2024, the organisation's management has decided to continue advancing in this area and formalise its commitment to Corporate Social Responsibility and sustainability by adhering to and supporting the United Nations Global Compact. In this way, FHECOR reaffirms its decision to align its strategy and business conduct with the Ten Principles of the Global Compact in the areas of Human Rights, Labour Standards, Environment, and Anti-Corruption.

Furthermore, in order to foster the organisation’s positive impact on its environment, FHECOR also promotes the implementation of measures aligned with the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). For example, in 2021, one of the company’s business objectives was to analyse its specific contribution to SDG 13: “Climate Action”, and in 2025, this initiative will be repeated with an evaluation of its contribution to SDG 3: “Good Health and Well-being”.
