Widening of Pasaje Bridge and pedestrian accesses
A Coruña, Spain
Structural typology Tender Design
Date December, 2015
Design Fhecor
Collaboration eptisa
The new structure enables the reconfiguration of traffic lanes, transitioning from a layout of three lanes per direction with no central median to a section consisting of four 3.5-meter-wide lanes in each direction, 1.5-meter-wide outer shoulders, 1-meter-wide inner shoulders, and a 3.3-meter-wide central median with metal safety barriers.

As complementary actions to preserve pedestrian routes, connecting footbridges are planned to link the pedestrian corridors with the existing seafront promenades on both sides of the estuary (O Burgo and Perillo-Santa Cristina promenades) and with the future promenade in the As Xubias area.
