FHECOR has worked for the Diputación de Soria in the inspection of the Puente de Langa de Duero, as well as in the drafting of the rehabilitation project, defining the necessary works to increase the useful life and safety of this Monument.
The bridge was built at the end of the 15th century. It is a 160m long factory bridge, divided into 11 barrel vaults, with 3 central arches. The three piers located in the natural course of the river have been the most affected during the centuries of history of the bridge, precisely because of its location.
Firstly, FHECOR carried out a special inspection of the bridge with the aim of detecting possible structural damage, including the relevant underwater inspections of the foundations located in the riverbed.
The rehabilitation project was then drafted. Work was proposed to repair the damaged foundations and to improve the structural performance of the bridge, such as replacing the loose filling of the vaults with mass concrete.
It is always a pleasure to work with structures built so many centuries ago. FHECOR Ingenieros Consultores is fully committed to the conservation of Heritage, being therefore one of the main activities to which we dedicate ourselves.
