The ‘Route 2020’ Project is a design and build contract for the 15 km extension of the Dubai metro Red Line, 11.8 km of viaduct and 3.2 km of tunnel, including 7 new stations: 5 over-ground (1 interchange, 3 elevated and the iconic EXPO station) and 2 underground. The contract amounted to AED 10.6b (USD 2.9 billion).
