Las Provincias Shopping Centre has a floor surface area which is 107.0m x 78.0m and is semi-trapezoidal in shape. It is composed of a regularly distributed 12.00m x 12.00m column layout. The resulting structure consists of a pre-stressed slab with post-tensioned, bonded four-strand steel reinforcement in an oval sheath.
The slab is 0.32m deep with 0.55m deep cone-shaped abacuses at the column heads. The active reinforcement is mainly distributed upon the columns. The columns are circular, ranging from 0.50m to 0.80m in diameter and are made of pre-stressed concrete. The whole building has been designed to be joint-free.
