The new variant of Viveiro, currently under study, will cross the estuary by means of a bridge with unique shapes, approximately 2 km in length and about 50 m above sea level. The proposed structure is a multi-span solution with variable depth and a special geometric configuration incorporating an outer concrete wing that follows stress laws to enhance the bridge"s resistance behavior. The design represents a reinterpretation of the classic bridge, emphasizing plastic resistance to create a structure that maximizes material utilization.
