The Montevideo Harbor Access Improvement Project comprises two access ramps each 200 meters long, a 1,800 m long precast cornet viaduct 8 m above ground level, and an arch bridge 160 meters long to be located beside the Montevideo Central Station.
The viaduct will be 24 meters wide, and will have three lanes in each direction. The actual roadway in the ground level has two lanes per direction.
The new bridge will free more than 5 hectares for other uses within the Port and to improve internal circulation.
The project includes the general lighting of the entire area.
