FHECOR Ingenieros Consultores hasprovided technical assistance tasks to LASTRA&ZORRILLA the ETFE textile roof fabricator.

The roof, designed jointly by the architecture firm Cano Lasso and the engineering firm MC2, consists of 39 modules and has a total length of approximately 210 meters. Each module is made up of two metal arches supported in their central part by a metal column and in their rear part by a tubular framework that acts as a tie rod. The covering material of the membrane is transparent ETFE, with an anticlastic curvature that allows both the transmission of loads and the drainage of rainwater.

FHECOR Ingenieros Consultores has been in charge of the structural analysis of the elements that compose the ETFE textile roof. The study carried out together with LASTRA&ZORRILLA team consisted of the design and structural verification of the membrane and the necessary reinforcement cables, the design of fastening and anchoring elements and the study of the construction sequence.
