The overall project consisted on twining the existent road, providing the complete detailed design of one roadway 6 km length and the rehabilitation design of the existent 6 km roadway to adapt it to a maximum speed of 90 km / h.
3 viaducts are projected with total lengths of 40 m in the East and West Interchanges, and 270 m in the Main Interchange. Maximum span of the viaducs are of 20 m and 36 m, and deck widths are of 12 m and 18.5 m respectively, that allow 2 lanes in the first case and 4 lanes in the second case.
All viaducts have been designed with a composite (steel - concrete) box typology.
