The Works fulfilled can be broken down into three clearly different operations. The first consists of the construction of a service way which is built on the side of the bridge in cantilever. The second is the general operations of cleaning and structural rehabilitation, consisting in high-pressure cleaning of the face and
recomposition and re-pointing of the masonrywork. Thirdly and finally, the protection of the foundations and one of the abutments by placement of a perimeter trench filled with reinforced concrete, employing galvanized steel bars.
