On March 18, the winning proposal for the new Buriano bridge was officially presented by the Provincia di Arezzo with a press conference held in the 'Sala dei grandi' of Provincia's building. FHECOR participated in the competition a few months ago and won the first prize. Now, the feasibility and schematic design have already been delivered to Provincia. The new bridge has an estimated cost of 14M€ and is located around 850 m far from the existing one (built in the XII century), and it will allow crossing the Arno river safely. Furthermore, the vehicle traffic will be moved from the existing to the new bridge, allowing the future restoration and conservative rehabilitation of the historical bridge. The bridge is part of a larger project that includes improving the road layout and connections of the entire area.
