These days at the ITER construction site in Cadarache (south of France), jobs for the lifting and installation of the Gaseous Nitrogen Tanks (GHe) are taking place. These 25m long and 150 Tons tanks are an important part of the ITER Cryogenic system to cool down the machine to -269ºC. FHECOR has carried out the construction and execution civil work projects for the VFR Consortium (Vinci, Ferrovial and Razel-Bec) as well as providing technical support during the construction. Finally, more than twenty of the auxiliary buildings needed for the construction and maintenance of the Tokamak complex have been developed by FHECOR during the last five years, including this Cryogenic plant in which lifting operations can be observed.
