The Madrid City Transit Company (EMT), which manages most of the public underground parking spaces in the city, has engaged FHECOR as designers and on-site support in the refurbishment project of the ‘Recoletos’ parking.
This facility is placed under Recoletos Avenue, between Alcalá and Salustiano Olózaga streets. It has four underground levels and 2,800 sqm per level, accomodating 383 parking spaces.
The project comprises substituting the access ramps, as well as repairing the observed defects in the rest of the existing structure, improving its performance to fulfill the latest safety requirements. After delivering this refurbishment project, FHECOR will also be in charge of on-site construction engineering.
This project adds to the vast experience of FHECOR in the field of existing structures, not only from a design standpoint but also providing technical assistance on the construction site.
